For a message, call, link or offer: every link, sender, phone number, payment request and firm name pulled out and checked (threat lists, domain age, lookalike of the real company's domain, regulator registration, matching FTC alerts), the warning signs found, what checked out and what could not be checked, and the official contact to verify through; and when money has already moved, a record of the loss, the bank, card and report deadlines on the calendar, and the dispute forms filled and tracked. It never declares a message safe.
